Welcome to Intrepid Report, formerly Online Journal

Online Journal is now Intrepid Report (intrepidreport.com), but will bring you the same fearless, insightful reporting it did as Online Journal. What’s more, our editorial policy of not shying away from the unspeakable will remain and then some.

We now can provide you with features many have asked for, such as RSS, the easy ability to share on Facebook, Twitter and a host of other places. In addition, you will be able to comment on articles. Comments, however, will be moderated to exclude any that are abusive or hateful.

Rebranding is risky but the name Intrepid Report better emphasizes what we do and who we are, and we think our loyal, longtime readers can handle it and help us spread the word to attract many more new readers to our site. We have been here for you, as Online Journal, for more than 12 years and now go forward as Intrepid Report.

We ask your patience while we work through any glitches we may encounter.

Hi, Bev: OK, I’m confused. I know you are now Intrepid Journal–and the site looks good. What email should I send my column to? Also, what happened with Online Journal? The name’s there, but there’s a bunch of names I don’t recognize. /walt.

    Well Bev,

Looks like you’ve been busy. I like the new name and the new look.

But what I like most of all is that the substance of the content stayed the same: informative, insightful, incisive, and bold. Intrepid indeed.

Intrepid Report is a great antidote to the varnished, sanitized version of what passes for “news” in the mainstream and it’s heartening and encouraging to know that such outlets still exist. No breathless “reporting” about Charlie Sheen or Lindsay Lohan here–thanks!

Count me as a reader for the long haul.

    Intrepidly yours,
    isaac peterson

    • Thank you, Isaac. We go back a long way — to the early days of Online Journal — my first class journalist friend.

    • 6JI0la THX that’s a great answer!

    • Hi Isaac,

It’s me Linda Starr. God, it’s been ages since last time we chatted. Hope to see you around here sometime si we can catch up. Bev has my new email addy. Hope to hear from you buddy. It’s been way too long and I haven’t been active politically in a couple of years. Just too damn disgusted with the whole big mess in DC, especially after Bush 43, Cheney et al were allowed to get away with all they did to this country and the people in it. Saw Fair Game last night and it reminded me of so many awful things done to those of us who exposed the scandals and crimes of them all. Remember how so many said we were paranoid conspiracy nuts when we accused them of illegally bugging us? That turned out to be oh so true, too. Good to see you are in touch with Bev. I’ve lost touch with so many of my old friends since 2008. It’ll be good to start mixing it up again with my old friends on the left before next year’s elections. Hope to hear from you soon, Linda

Hi Linda, this is a happy day for me! I was hoping you were still around and I have wondered over the years how you were doing. I’ve been very busy trying to secure a steady income–I don’t do much writing these days because I can’t make a living at it right now, but it’s my dream to be a professional writer again. I moved recently from Minnesota to California and the going has been kind of rough. I’ve been disgusted with things in DC as well, and miss the occasion to articulate it and the reasons why I feel that way to a larger audience. As far as being paranoid, I think we were just ahead of the curve. I would love to stay in touch, with you and Bev as well. Are you on Facebook? Maybe I could get your e-mail address through a private message or something. It’s great to know you are still here, Linda.

  13. Bev, just love this new name — reflection of the spymaster Intrepid, a great Canadian BTW, who fought tyrannies that threatened to rob of us of our democratic rights. Have reposted the “Harper” article on Homecoming Vets with link to Intrepid Reports and intro about your great online interactive journal. New look easy to read and navigate.

    • Bev Conover

Thank you, Bonnie. I hope you get a government that doesn’t sell out to Washington, as Harper has been doing.
