A classic example of establishment hypocrisy in few words

Gunmen have taken over a federal government building in Oregon and are holding it by force.

There is no alarm in the Land of the Free, the gunmen were allowed to speak on CNN Sunday morning. CNN provided the gunmen the mass media opportunity of requesting that others who want to shoot it out with the government join them, perhaps stirring the twisted souls of right-wing zanies from sea to shining sea to come to Oregon.

Had they been leftists, they wouldn’t have been allowed to speak in the corporate media.

Were they Muslims they would have been accused of being terrorists, and in prison by now.

Had they been part of the Black Lives Matter movement, they would have been gunned down according to the established routine.

But these are white, right-wing zanies, like so many who make up the establishment, so they are allowed media attention and permitted to occupy the building if they choose.

They may next be found running for president as Republicans, and the corporate media will see nothing amiss.

Jack Balkwill has been published from the little read Rectangle, magazine of the English Honor Society, to the (then) millions of readers USA Today and many progressive publications/web sites such as Z Magazine, In These Times, Counterpunch, This Can’t Be Happening, Intrepid Report, and Dissident Voice. He is author of “An Attack on the National Security State,” about peace activists in prison.

  1. Jan 2, 2016 REBELLION! — Patriots Just OCCUPIED Federal Lands!

This is very real! Some patriot groups are opposing them including Oath Keepers, this appears to be because they did not agree on tactics. I say these guys are defending the rule of law. It is lawful and moral to stand against terrorists in our government.

  2. “White, right-wing zanies” is a demeaning racial remark. The politically correct refer to is as hate speech. Jack, you obviously did not listen to their remarks which clarified their reasoning… or you drink the Koolaid to the extent that you have been led to believe that any government, has permission to operate outside of the document which permits its’ existence, and to which each and every bureaucrat is bound by their oath(s) of office. Either we operate according to “rule of law” or there is none… and anything goes. Seems as if these “white, right-wing zanies” are simply attempting to restore the rule of law.

It is common knowledge that their statutes are not the rule of law but are private law and are the modus operandi the bureaucrats must follow… their company policy. They do not now, nor have they ever been given the authority to reduce the men and women to subjects… slaves. But they do have the absolute responsibility to operate within their statutes and codes. Simple physics has determined that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Better get used to it.
