Another interruption in publishing

I am scheduled to undergo a cornea transplant Monday.

Unless I want to lose sight in the eye, surgery is my only option. Two eyes are better than one, eh?

I dread the post-op period more than the surgery as I am told I will have to be on my back, staring up at the ceiling for three to four days. Imagine no computer, no reading, no driving for at least that period and perhaps longer. So I don’t know whether I will be out of commission for days or weeks until the specialist says the eye is healed enough for me to do everything other than lifting or bending.

Personally, 2015 was an annus horribilis and I am looking forward to 2016 being a better one.

I shall resume publishing Intrepid Report as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

  1. Best wishes to you that all goes well with your operation. I cannot even imagine ONE DAY without reading. You will have to get books on tape/CD.
    Get well soon. Iris Kriege

  2. Dear Bev,
Be well, Be Safe, Be healed and in Good Hands, (if you take out one of the “o”s in Good, it would read “God”‘s Hands … May Goodness or God keep you comfortable, fill you with patience as you lay on your back while your eye heals, and maybe stack up on some Audio Books … I DON’T LIKE THEM BUT PEOPLE WHO DO SAY THEY ARE WONDERFUL … AND AT LEAST CAN FILL THE VOID AND BE ENTERTAINING, OR INFORMATIVE….)
anyhow, MAY THE divine presence IN THE universe BE WITH YOU AND BRING YOU AND YOUR LIGHT BACK TO US, SOON.

  3. get well soon Bev.

sometimes a long peace and quiet can be put to good use. you have been thru the wringer… and perhaps have worked hard in order to not let certain thoughts come to the fore. introspection is sometimes a very good thing.

    love,

  4. Gods speed! In 1873, Horatio Spafford wrote the words to the hymn “It is Well with My Soul” after the tragic death of his four daughters. (He wrote it on the ocean while sailing near the spot where his daughters died.) Very moving.

John 14:27 -”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

  5. I shall send healing energy to you and to your surgeon. Eyes are tricky and I want your eye surgeon to have the perfect skill needed to do the job. I know one person who had the same surgery and she is doing well.

  6. How are you Bev?

  7. Get better soon…Well you could have the really look of Moshe Dayan.

Seriously, take time to recover. I agree with you on 2015. Bad year.
