Anti-Brexit camp wants second referendum

Call it the sour grapes crowd. When things don’t turn out its way, it demands another go, hoping for a different result.

Britain’s government responds to all petitions getting at least 100,000 signatures. Parliament debates them, generally a pro forma process, most often accomplishing nothing.

London’s Guardian said second referendum petitioners attracted over 1.5 million signatures by Saturday afternoon, an “unprecedented demand temporarily crash[ing] the [House of Commons] website.” It states:

“We the undersigned call upon HM government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based on a turnout less than 75%, there should be another referendum.”

A second petition collected over 100,000 signatures, calling on London Mayor Sadiq Khan to declare independence from Britain and apply for EU membership.

Rewriting rules post facto won’t likely go far. No precedent or legal justification supports it.

What’s done is done. Brexit won. How things unfold remain to be seen. It’s much too early for predictions except one.

Given powerful interests for EU unity, despite lots of contrary noise, the stars are aligned against Brexit.

Parliament alone will decide. Expect a majority to vote as they’re told, the same way things work in America. Democracy is pure illusion. Voters have no say whatever.

  1. RT.com reported on Monday that a lot of the signatures on the petition were found to be fraudulent. That’s not surprising. Look for the powers that be to do everything and then some to derail Brexit – including a false flag event to create chaos and punish people who vote to leave EU. Stay strong, Brexit voters!!

There are valid reasons for staying as well as valid reasons for leaving and both sides should respect the others arguments without resorting to misrepresentation and calumny.

It’s so ridiculous!! The Remain group do not care a fig about their country. As stated in this article, it’s just a case of ‘sour grapes’.
    EVERYONE CAN SEE THROUGH THEM!!
They do not care to see if this is more beneficial to Britain. No waiting.
They simply want to have it their way.
Are most of these a ‘paid lot’?
