Trump is right about fake news media, wrong about most everything else

Media scoundrels abhor journalism the way it should be—especially on domestic and geopolitical issues mattering most, notably on virtually everyting related to imperial wars, Russia and Trump.

Instead of demanding he be held accountable for high crimes of war and against humanity, along with serving monied interests at the expense of most others, they blast him for the wrong reasons—willfully deceiving readers and viewers.

Serving as press agents for powerful interests, truth-telling is considered anathema. Disinformation, Big Lies and fake news substitute. Following their reports assures being misinformed, uninformed, and lied to.

At a Saturday rally, Trump was right, saying the “dishonest media(’s) agenda is not your(s)”—omitting self-criticism, failing to explain his agenda serves wealth, power and privilege exclusively.

Long forgotten are inaugural day promises. He’s a warrior president servant of power like his predecessors.

Saying he’d “fight for you with every breath in (his) body, and never, ever let you down” proved hollow rhetoric.

So was promising non-interventionism. He escalated Obama’s wars, perhaps intends new ones on Iran and/or North Korea.

He’s waging undeclared war on Venezuela. He took relations with Russia to a new low, after pledging improved ties. Imposing illegal sanctions on China showed a short-lived honeymoon with President Xi Jinping was more mirage than real.

Instead of combating terrorism as pledged, he supports it. Instead of draining the swamp, he filled it with neocons, hawkish generals and billionaires.

Instead of serving all Americans equitably, he favors privileged ones at the expense of most others, especially the nation’s most vulnerable.

All politicians lie. Rare exceptions prove the rule. Trump showed he’s like all the rest.

He’s right bashing deplorable media scoundrels, dead wrong on most everything else—inflicting enormous harm on countless millions at home and abroad.
