12 straight days of Israeli state terror against Palestinians

Has it only just started? Has a third Intifada begun? It’s too soon to know. Hindsight alone will tell.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Israeli violence against Palestinians since December 7 already took a horrendous toll.

Eleven Palestinians were killed in the West Bank and Gaza, 3,400 injured, scores shot with live rounds, nearly 800 Palestinians needing hospitalization.

Planned well in advance of Trump’s outrageous Jerusalem declaration, Israel launched “Operation Green Candles,” state terror unleashed across the Occupied Territories, including horrendous violence against defenseless people and sweeping arrests.

So far around 400 Palestinians were detained, maybe hundreds more to come, around 1,600 occupation forces involved in the operation.

According to the Addameer prisoner support group, community leaders, a Palestinian lawmaker, lawyers defending Palestinians, human rights activists, journalists, and former prisoners are being targeted, regardless of whether they’re involved in what’s going on.

Palestinians are protected people under international law, ignored by Israel throughout its existence, imposing collective punishment, flagrantly violating Fourth Geneva’s Article 33, prohibiting it.

Nothing justifies what’s going on, the world community dismissive of Palestinian rights, offering lip service support only, nothing with teeth holding Israel accountable for its high crimes.

Trump’s Jerusalem declaration flagrantly violated international law along with fundamental Palestinian rights.

Jerusalem will always be part of Palestine. It’s their eternal capital. No one can deny them, not Trump, Netanyahu or anyone else.

Washington supports occupation harshness, opposes Palestinian self-determination despite claiming otherwise, rejects peaceful and equitable conflict resolution—complicit in decades of aggression against the Palestinian people.

Trump’s declaration breached numerous Security Council resolutions related to Jerusalem, calling Israel’s claim to the city as its capital null and void, of no legal validity.

Scores of Arab civil society organizations rejected his outrageous action, including:
