Joe Biden is using Republican talking points to attack single payer health care. One wonders why he doesn’t just run as a Republican.
Joe is getting the big bucks from an establishment fearing that a leftist may run and raise taxes on the rich. Politico reports “Biden’s big money haul reflects his sway with some of the country’s most influential donors and fundraisers.”
The banksters, polluters and defense cheats control the government like a private plantation (their establishment press would have us believe it’s the Russians!), and want Joe to be their man. They also fund President Trump, but don’t like his style of governing, so would prefer Joe, who’s been supportive of the desires of the ruling plutocrats in the past. The plutocrats always fund both sides for control.
Decades of testing proves that when the entire mass media beat a drum for a candidate, that candidate usually gets high poll numbers. Part of it is to tell the public that Biden can beat Trump, but the other Dems will be seen as rotten commie rats and soundly rejected, so you are stupid if you don’t vote Biden (or variations of this theme).
Biden likes to tie his candidacy to President Obama, who is popular with the Democratic Party faithful, but his opponents wonder why. Under Obama income and wealth inequality got worse, the climate crisis got worse, deportations went up, and banksters got a bailout when their profit schemes went awry and caused a massive economic recession, with millions losing their homes, and millions losing their jobs. One shouldn’t blame Obama for the recession but one can definitely blame him for bailing out the criminals and letting their victims go under.
In October 2002, Biden voted in favor of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq, justifying the Iraq War. At the time, Scott Ritter, who had scoured Iraq looking for weapons representing the USA, and Hans Blix, who’d done the same as an international weapons inspector, said they could find no evidence that Iraq had a nuclear weapons program. Then Senator Biden ignored the evidence and supported the illegal invasion of Iraq, which resulted in the death of thousands of innocents.
Here’s an extensive summary of the accomplishments of the Obama administration for those who think it’s something upon which to hang one’s hat. Self-respecting progressives would have to distance themselves from such horrors as these, but Biden blindly reminds voters that he was part of the administration.
The big con is on again. Remember when they told us we had to back Hillary, the only person in the galaxy who could lose to Trump?
The corporate media are chanting for Biden in unison, less FOX News that is soldered to Trump’s rear end like a pig’s tail. We are told that if we don’t support Joe, Trump will win. In a nation of over 300 million people, we cannot do better than Biden.
If this is the best we can do, I say we follow Socrates and down a flagon of hemlock.
