The Democrat and Republican Parties: ‘Black holes’ of human progress

“The pretense in disputed elections is that the great conflict is between the two major parties.”—Howard Zinn

“Tell no lies, claim no easy victories.”—Amilcar Cabral

Euphemistically akin to what astronomers, quantum physicists, and astrobiologists refer to as cosmic ‘black holes’ that have swallowed millions of stars are the Democratic Party foxes and the Republican Party wolves who have, for numerous decades, sought to disfigure and devour the histories and aspirations of many millions of people in the United States and throughout this world.

The U.S. corporate-stream media is in collusion with the vampiric politicos of the corporate-controlled Democrat and Republican parties [i.e., the Republicrats] feverishly engaged, yet again, in propagating and disseminating the “pretense” of a “conflict” between these two political parties. The people’s historian, the late Howard Zinn, described this pretense propagated by the corporate-stream media thusly: “The pretense in disputed elections is that the great conflict is between the two major parties. The reality is that there is a much bigger conflict that the two parties jointly wage against large numbers of Americans who are represented by neither party and against powerless millions around the world.”

It is imperative that the ordinary everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people of humanity’s rainbow see ourselves for what we really are: the modem of and for our own consciously progressive human evolution/revolution. When we grasp this reality we instantly understand that it is we ourselves who hold the key to our own collective mental and physical liberation.

Like rats in a laboratory, the masses of everyday people in this nation have been socially and politically manipulated by the wealthy few who overwhelmingly control not only the physical resources of Mother Earth, but also control the distorted and disfigured presentation to us of our own histories. We have been taught to regurgitate ingrained ideas rather than to critically think outside of the boundaries of those controlled and ingrained ideas. This is why, for so very long, everyday people in this nation have been duped time and time again against our own collective interests. We are taught (both covertly and overtly) that what is actually in our own collective social, political, and economic best interests is somehow alien or even subversive. We have been systemically and individually alienated against our very selves. Even prior to the inception of the devilish twins known as the Democrat and Republican parties, the tiny wealthy elite of this nation had already begun the process of distorting history and alienating ordinary everyday people against each other, ourselves, and our own collective best interests.

So here we are in the latter part of the year 2011 and, true to form, the relatively tiny and avaricious wealthy elite (now known as the corporate/military elite) are about the business of co-opting us, dividing us against one another, and controlling how we think and what we do. For this historical moment, it is the Democrat and Republican parties that are the primary surrogates of and for this blood-sucking corporate elite. From the so-called ‘Patriot Act,’ to Extraordinary Rendition, to Extrajudicial Murders, to economic austerity at home, to perpetual wars abroad—the bloated corporate elite continues to grow fat from the misery of everyday people in this nation and around the world.

Yet, the key to ending this misery is within our own hands mentally and physically. The key to ending this misery is by systemically ending once and for all the de facto corporate/military dictatorship over we everyday people.

The evolutionary/revolutionary struggle of everyday people is not an overnight affair. It is a protracted struggle. We everyday people must all become consciously active social scientists on behalf of our own collective best interests. We can do this, because we must do this.

Let us do our part, individually and collectively, to relegate the blood-sucking corporate elite and all of their surrogates and accomplices, including the Democrat and Republican parties, to a ‘black hole’ especially prepared for them; the dustbin of history.

Be clear about this: We face serious challenges, pitfalls, difficulties, and bumps in this struggle. But let us remember the plain and simple words of the late revolutionary Amilcar Cabral who said, “Tell no lies, claim no easy victories.” Our victories, though hard won, will come, person by person, town by town, city by city, and nation by nation until we can turn to one another and to Mother Earth herself and smile the smile of her steward who has done his or her very best for the collective good of humanity.

Onward, then, my sisters and brothers! Onward!
