Is the U.S. political system really ‘broken?’

“Never be deceived that the rich will allow you to vote away their wealth.”—Lucy Parsons

“Those who do not move, do not notice their chains.”—Rosa Luxemburg

The political system of the United States works magnificently—for the very rich, including the bloodsuckers of the avaricious corporate elite—whom it perniciously serves. For the rest of us however, who make up the vast majority in this nation, this political system of, for, and by the corporate-owned Democrats and Republicans is a perpetual quagmire of hypocrisy, manipulation, injustice, and inequality.

Rather than the United States being an exercise in a people’s progressive ‘democracy,’ it is in fact an ongoing 21st century Pavlovian experiment by the elite and powerful few on how to most effectively condition and manipulate everyday ordinary Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people in this nation, and ultimately throughout the world. National and international events are created by the U.S. and global ruling elite, which events are meant to ensure that everyday people euphemistically salivate and react in a fashion that best serves the economic and political interests of the elite, not the ordinary people. So manipulated, everyday people react to these artificially created events (rather than respond—which would require critical thought). These reactions are, more often than not, against their own best political and economic collective interests. This is precisely why, for example, the corporate-owned Democrat and Republican parties in the United States have thus far managed to keep everyday people locked in an undemocratic, corporate dominated political system that is perpetuated by none other than the ‘foxes and wolves’ of these very same corporate-owned and controlled political parties.

It is important to reassess the notion that the system is ‘broken.’ In reality it is not, nor has it ever been, for those few who, in real terms, own and control the system economically, politically, and socially. The system must be totally and creatively changed by everyday people themselves. Moreover, it must be borne in mind that whatever limited concessions that the power-brokers of the system might appear to make from time to time are precisely that—concessions—which can be systemically withdrawn at the whim of the systemic power-brokers, and which in actuality serve to strengthen the death-grip of the political system while simultaneously misleading and manipulating everyday people.

The so-called legality of the U.S. political system is utterly meaningless, as law [i.e., what is legal] need not have anything whatsoever to do with justice. Furthermore, this system itself is amoral and politically bankrupt from top to bottom. It is time to dispense with the well propagated corporate-stream media illusions that say otherwise.

The indefinite detention legislation (of U.S. citizens in this nation) which is known as the so-called National Defense Authorization Act (of 2012), that U.S. president Barack Obama recently signed into law allows for the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens without the right to being charged, or having a trial, jury, legal defense, or even an obligation on the part of the government to inform the public and/or the public of where a detainee is being held is an example of a law which has nothing whatever to do with justice; in what is now the United States of Legalized Fascism. Law must never be confused with justice or moral authority. If the Democrats and Republicans possessed even a modicum of integrity towards everyday people, they would have adamantly and overwhelmingly opposed this hideous and draconian indefinite detention legislation, which Barack Obama has signed into law. Not surprisingly the corporate-stream U.S. media, which should have been incessantly raising the alarm, chose to minimize or say nothing at all about this odious law fostered by the corporate Democrats and Republicans. To reiterate: The so-called legality of the U.S. political system is utterly meaningless.

The system is not broken. It is irretrievably corrupt, it is not for, and does not belong to the everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people of this nation. It must be changed!

The time is here for the everyday people of this nation, irrespective of color or gender, to cease being the Pavlov’s dogs of the Democrat and Republican corporate parties. All over the world everyday people are resisting the economic austerity and systemic hypocrisy of the global corporate elite. It is our collective human responsibility to do likewise in what is now the United States of Legalized Fascism. To do less is unthinkable. We must reignite and regain our humanity, and take our places in this ongoing, protracted, and collective people’s struggle on behalf of ourselves and precious Mother Earth.

Onward, then, my sisters and brothers! Onward!
